The Story Behind Concierge Lactation: What Modern Families Truly Need
When I walk into a family’s home, or join them virtually during those raw, early days, there is always a quiet moment where everything in the room speaks:
A mother holding her baby close but wincing with every latch.
A partner hovering, wanting to help but not knowing how.
A baby working so hard just to feed.
Feeding feels like a full-time job and many parents feel it doesn’t come as naturally as they thought it would.
Before I do any assessment, I listen. Because feeding isn’t just mechanics—it's emotion, exhaustion, hormones, healing, and hope for the “perfect” breastfeeding experience that every mother claims. What you want and how you want to feed your baby matters.
This is sacred work. This is why concierge care matters.
What’s Feeling Hard Right Now
Painful Latch Solutions
Many parents arrive in tears, telling me:
“It hurts every time.”
“My nipple looks flat afterward.”
“I thought pain was normal.”
Pain is a sign of dysfunction—not something to push through.
In one session, most parents experience their first pain-free latch because I evaluate everything:
oral reflexes
tongue elevation + extension
jaw tension
milk flow
maternal anatomy
feeding posture
positioning
hormonal factors
nervous system regulation
My goal isn’t just comfort; it’s efficiency, deep latch stability, and long-term relief.
Engorgement Relief in 24–48 Hours
Engorgement is one of the most overwhelming postpartum experiences.
Parents often ask
“Why are my breasts so swollen?”
“How long will engorgement last?”
“How do I get relief fast and why can’t my baby latch well anymore.”
With the right care, engorgement does NOT need to last days.
I help moms resolve it within 24–48 hours using a specific 4-step protocol:
gentle lymphatic drainage
warm + cold balance
proper pumping rhythm
switching sides strategically
milk flow optimization
sleep-safe positions
feeding frequency and comfort techniques
The transformation is immediate: swelling resolves, pain reduces, babies latch again, and feeding stabilizes.
Holistic Tongue Tie Support (Without the Confusion)
Tongue ties are one of the biggest areas of misinformation in lactation and in the medical community.
Parents tell me:
“Every professional said something different.”
“I don’t know if my baby needs a release.”
“I’m scared of making the wrong choice.”
My approach is not “rush to release.”
It is:
functional oral exams and reassessments at points of heightened development
identifying true restriction vs poor coordination
pre-release priming
post-release recovery
feeding plan protection
emotional support
structured exercises that aren’t overwhelming
and most importantly, collaborative care with my network of providers!
Parents finally understand what’s happening and feel supported, not pressured.
Pumping & Returning to Work With Confidence
Many breastfeeding parents feel unprepared for pumping.
Questions I often get:
“How many ounces do I need?”
“How often should I pump at work?”
“What bottles should I use?”
“Why am I not getting much milk?”
I help parents create realistic plans that match their lifestyle, supply, and schedule - not rigid charts or internet myths.
You’ll learn:
how to build a freezer stash without creating an oversupply
how to maintain supply at work
paced bottle feeding
choosing the right flange
pump schedule templates
milk storage guidelines
daycare communication
emotional preparation for separation
The result:
confidence, predictability, and sustainable routines.
Starting Solids: A Calm, Nourishing Transition
Whether parents choose purees, baby-led weaning, or a combination, I guide them through:
readiness signs
safe food textures
preventing choking fears
maintaining milk supply
building balanced plates
navigating allergens
structured mealtime rhythm
digestive cues
developmental expectations
Parents stop feeling overwhelmed and start feeling excited. I walk you through how to maintain breastfeeding even with the introduction of solid foods.
Cluster Feeding, Growth Spurts, and the First-Year Feeding Journey
Cluster feeding, especially in the evenings, leads parents to often question their milk supply and their body:
“Is my baby starving?”
“Why is baby nursing nonstop?”
“Do I have low supply?”
I help families understand:
what cluster feeding really means
how to soothe during high-demand periods
how to protect maternal mental health
when to adjust routines
what is normal vs concerning
And later in the journey…
🌿 Gentle Weaning & Emotionally Aligned Transitions
Weaning can be emotional, tender, and uncertain.
I walk parents through:
gradual steps
routines that feel safe
nighttime weaning options
protecting the breast from clogged ducts
preserving attachment
honoring both mother & baby’s readiness
Weaning becomes peaceful instead of stressful.
đź’› What Parents Say After Working With Me
These are the phrases I hear again and again:
“I felt overwhelmed and hopeless but now I finally feel confident.”
“We went from my baby being fussy with every feed and crying constantly to my baby feeding calmly now.”
“You explained things no one ever has and in a way that I clearly understood.”
“We’re not fighting the latch anymore, breastfeeding actually feels peaceful and calm now.”
“You helped me believe I could do this.”
Because this isn’t just lactation support, it is creating an experience that you can be proud of and that you can enjoy with your baby!

FAQ: What Parents Commonly Ask
1. How long does it take to fix a painful latch?
Most families experience improvement during the first consult when underlying causes are addressed. Ongoing support may be needed if there is other factors involved but overwhelmingly parents experience complete or significant pain relief in their first consult.
2. How fast can engorgement be relieved?
With proper techniques, most parents feel relief within 24–48 hours.
3. How do I know if my baby has a tongue tie?
A functional oral assessment by an IBCLC trained in oral reflexes and feeding mechanics is the most accurate first step. I do oral function exams on every baby I meet to rule out any underlying issues. I often have parents tell me that they were told their baby has a “functional” or “mild” tie in the early days or weeks. Function can change, and babies often need further assessment at 2-3 weeks, 5 weeks and 3-4 months.
4. When should a parent seek lactation help?
Anytime feeding hurts, feels overwhelming, or isn't going as expected. Prevention is key, taking a prenatal class before your baby arrives is the best first step in setting yourself up for success. Sign up for by prenatal class here.
5. Does virtual lactation support actually work?
Yes—especially with latch coaching, pumping support, oral screening via video, and real-time feedback. I have been working in the lactation field for more than 10 years, I know exactly what questions to ask to help work through any issues and I have been doing telehealth lactation for 5+ years, helping hundreds of families. I’ve personally seen families not just reach their feeding goals but exceed them through virtual support!
6. Can you help if I’m exclusively pumping?
Absolutely. I assist with flange sizing, supply rhythm, pumping routines, bottle feeding, and emotional support. Pumping is still breastfeeding and still deserves high-level support. I have spent years working with babies to address bottle feeding struggles, including bottle refusal and aversion.
7. Do you help with weaning?
Yes—gentle, clear, and emotionally aligned weaning plans are part of my support.
